Me, personally, don't mind "some" remakes. I am cool with remaking films like House on Haunted Hill, and films like that. Fairly cheesy 50's horror films, but I'm not really into the remakes of these slashers I've come to love. Despite the fact I enjoyed the Texas Chainsaw and Halloween remake.
Going into the Friday the 13th remake I had high hopes. I am a huge fan of the work done by Platinum Dunes on the Texas Chainsaw remake (even though I never saw their remakes of Hitcher or Amittyville Horror). Now, I am not a "huge" Jason Fan. I like the character, but I'm die hard Michael Myers all the way.
Now, this film, I left when it was all over and I was disappointed. I won't put any spoilers in , however to me, personally, there were no "creative" kills which is something I usually enjoy in the Friday films. And, despite as much as I tried, I could not get "into" the new look of Jason. I know it's probably just me, but I don't think Jason is supposed to have hair..lol
Now, the film was far from bad, but I just felt it lacked some vital stuff. On a grade level I will give it a borderline B-/C+
I just hope Platinum Dunes can rebuild their remake success as their next going to be working on the Nightmare on Elm Street remake, and then following that with the Birds remake.

I just got back from seeing it. and to me I think the film was pretty good. One of the better horror movie remakes out their but still I think Halloween was a lot better. Were going to have a full review on it Tuesday. But at least this remake did not ruin the orginal. But I think it could have been a better stroty line
